About my work
I focus on the interactive aspects of the visual and audio words that we live surrounded by. The way that advertising, signage and the media initiate actions, movements, moods and emotions is something that amazes me. I want to be a part of this audio-visual mood machine, but as an individual, without trying to sell anyone anything.
I use painting, drawing, neon sign making, screen printing and audio recording to emphasise the gaudy aesthetics and looping rhythms of public communication, and question their capacity to inform, suggest or instruct the public.
My work has been shown internationally in galleries and off-spaces in cities including London, Zurich, Basel, Milan, Bologna, Izmir and Delhi. I also enjoy showing work in public and semi-public places, and have displayed work in the form of poster-puzzles and installations in non-traditional art-spaces such as transit hubs and games rooms.
