No Loitering (2017)

Acrylic paint, canvas, string, metal fence,  100 x 140cm. I’m interested in the inherent contradictions of this work: a pattern which is often used to grab attention, and a neon sign instruction saying ‘no loitering’ (which means no hanging around).   Neon sign making is a complex craft which I have been learning from the expert neon sign maker, Huseyin Dogancan for the past 2 years.
